Delete your Dolphi account

For the Dolphi app on Google Play, published by Dolphi (Andrei Kamelau).

You can delete your Dolphi account and the data linked to it at any time, in the app or by email. You don't need to have the app installed to ask by email.

Option 1 — in the app

  1. Open Dolphi and go to Profile.
  2. Tap Delete account and confirm.
  3. If the app asks you to confirm your password or Google account, do so; deletion then continues.

Deletion happens immediately and needs an internet connection. If you use Dolphi on several devices, sign out on the others first, so they don't sync data back in the meantime.

Using Dolphi as a guest? Guests don't have the Delete account button. A guest's cards and progress stay on the phone, and uninstalling the app removes them. The only things the server may hold for a guest are generation votes and content reports linked to a random guest ID; they hold no contact details and are deleted automatically after 12 months without activity. To remove them now: in Profile, tap Sign in / Register and create a new account (your guest data carries over to it — signing in to an account you already have does not carry it over), then delete that account as above.

Option 2 — by email, without the app

  1. Write to [email protected] with the subject Delete my Dolphi account.
  2. Tell us the email address of your Dolphi account (for Google sign-in, your Google account's address). Sending from that address is easiest.
  3. We send a confirmation message to the account's address. Reply to it, so we know the request really comes from the account owner.

We delete the account and its data within one month of receiving your request, and write back when it's done. Sign out of Dolphi on your devices before we delete, so they don't sync data back.

What is deleted

What is kept, and for how long

Deletion can't be undone. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.

Deleting only some data

You don't have to delete the whole account: you can delete individual cards, decks and folders in the app, and switch off analytics and crash reports in Settings → Analytics & crash reporting.
